About the Institute

SHJP was founded in year 1984 and had been serving society for more than 25 years now. We have a strong students base since then, and by now more than 10,000 diploma holders has passed out from the institute and spread all over the world.They have been spread across different elds such as education, industry, trade etc.

Believing strongly in the motto “technology for prosperity” the college has achieved an enviable status due to a strong emphasis on academic and technical excellence. S. H. Jondhale Polytechnic emphasis on grooming leaders who are not only academically brilliant, but also good human beings with values under the eminent guidance of Trustee & Director of Samarth Samaj, Hon’ble Mr. Sagar Shivajirao Jondhale.

S.H. Jondhale Polytechnic has a huge campus with its own administrative offices, spacious class-rooms, state of the art laboratories with sophisticated equipments in all the specialized area of study, Drawing Halls, Seminar Halls, Gymnasium, Student’s common room, Ladies Room, Cafeteria, spacious play ground, well equipped library which is structured to provide academic support to the students as well as the faculties of the Institute. Availability of high speed broad band internet connectivity makes it possible to acquire basic engineering education and fulll research aspirations of the students.

At S. H. Jondhale Polytechnic emphasis is given on not only making you academically brilliant, but true leaders and team players, thus preparing you for the real life corporate world. For the convenience of the students, S.H. Jondhale Polytechnic institute is located opposite Dombivli (West) Railway station. There is a State Transport Bus stand situated at 5 minutes away from the campus. This makes reaching to institute extremely convenient and focus their energy more on learning

Recognition

We are proud to say that the students passed out from our institute are presently working with leading multinational companies occupying key posts in various elds such as Management, Research & Development, Project Design & commissioning, IT professions etc all across India & abroad. Also many students have turned into entrepreneurship and consultancy work thus creating the job opportunities for the society.

In the year 1988-89, Mr. Panchal Santosh Sharad, student of 3rd year Electronics and Telecommunication Branch, in the year 1989-90, Mr. Rambhia Ajay Manoj, student of 3rd year Electronics and Telecommunication Branch, in the year 1997-98, Mr. Parmer Virendra H, student of lllrd year Civil Engineering Branch, in the year 2004, Mr. Nair Vineet Sadasivan, student of Chemical Engineering, in the year 2006, Mr. Sanghani Sanikumar Bhagwandas, student of 3rd year Civil Engineering & many more were the rankers in all over Maharashtra MSBTE merit list

From the above, it is very clear that the polytechnic has excellent record of results in curricular activities and our students are securing higher ranks every year in the merit list

Similarly in the co - curricular activities, our students are participating every year and presenting their innovative thinking & ideas. In the “Dipex 95”, a project competition, organized by the “Tantra Shikshan Vidyarthi Parishad” at Aurangabad, the Chemical Engineering students have bagged the First and Third Prizes.

• 1st prize was awarded to the project model “DISPERSED AIR FLOTATION ”, a modern technology in the field of effluent treatment of the Chemical Plants. The participants were Mr. Kuvawalla Mohammed A., Mr. Lohia Rajnish K. and Mr. Mangesh B.Jondhale. 

• 3rd Prize was awarded to the project Model “DEMINERALISE D WATER TREATMENT PLANT ”, which incorporates with modern techniques of water softening methods.The participants were Mr.Rajesh Kaiparambil, Mr. Attarde Pankaj M., Mr. Hatty Mohan D., Ms. Sawant Shamika, Mr. Bajaj Niranjan , Mr. Amrutkar Swapnil, Ms..Shrivastava Sanyogita and Mr. NemadeYogesh 

• In Technolophillia 2009, A State level Project competition organized by MSBTE, Mumbai, Our Third year MECHANICAL students won 1st prize (step Electricity Generator) & third year Computer student won 1st price (step Electricity Generator) & third year Computer student won rst price in computer group (Database query throught SMS.)

• Mr. Arafat Kuwari, a student of T.Y.Chem. Engg is felicitated by Honble Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Chavan, Hon’ble Minister Mr. Naseem Khan and Mr. Milind Devera (member of Parliament), For winning second prize for paper presentation in International conference on the topic” non coventional Energy.” In the same way, our students are giving excellent performances in extra curricular activities such as sports.

• During the academic year 2007 08, our Kabaddi team won Runner Up Prize in Intercollegiate sports at state level. 

• During the academic year 2006-07, our student Mr. Wadekar Ajit Keshav of SY MECHANICAL won 5 championships in Athletics in intercollegiate sports at state level. 

Teaching Methodology/Transaction of Syllabus

The most important ingredient in any college’s recipe for success is its faculty and staff, and at S.H. Jondhale Polytechnic, our teaching team is highly qualified, experienced and fully devoted, they are leaders in their respective field. The faculty of SHJP has all along played a significant role in the growth and development of the institute.

In addition to the academic engagement and class room transactions, all the members shoulder other responsibilities like looking after the training and placement, campus discipline, Annual Function and organizing such other beneficial activities for the institute. All of them ensure that the policies and regulation of the institute are effectively implemented for the overall development.

When you combine teachers of this caliber with small classes and supportive personal attention, you get extraordinary learning results. They know what it takes to prepare you for the exciting and challenging world that lies ahead. We also conduct sessions such as “Transform the transformers” to train the faculties. The programmes makes teacher more supportive and impart the knowledge to students in more effective manner. This eventually leads to students to have wholesome learning experience.

Library

S.H. Jondhale Polytechnic, library meets the need of its students, academics and research with a wide range of books, periodicals, national and international journals, CD-ROMS, all leading newspapers and magazines, Soft Skills & Personality Development, online database, business journals, Book Bank, project reports, in-house publications, examination papers and related documentation covering all aspects of academic studies and research material. The hi-tech labs and hi-speed internet facility act as ideal training grounds for budding professionals that allow students to experiment and bring to practice what they have learnt in theory. The library is a regular member of I.I.T., Mumbai Library, which enables the staff and students to refer the books of I.I.T-Powai, Mumbai.

Training & Placement Cell

Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of the institute. With an objective to make the students understand and measure a few concepts and associated skills that are necessary for becoming employable, with a desire to satisfy both professional and employer needs. Among different human relations skills, ‘Interpersonal Communication Skill decides the acceptance of an individual by others. In being employable, one necessarily has to be a successful communicator to work in or with any group. This Training and Placement Cell aims at developing interpersonal communication skills and all-round performance of the students through the industry and institute interaction. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes. The cell keeps on inviting various industries and reputed firms for campus recruitment. It modules the engineering grades to young corporals. The cell is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students.

T & P cell is involved in securing placements for students passing out from the institute. The ofce keeps close contact with various industrial establishments, which conducts pre-placement presentation, campus interviews and select student representatives from each department to co-ordinate the placement activities. The Placement Cell provides state of the art infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews. The Placement Cell has a library and a communication lab to enhance the students’ general aptitude and communication skills. A large number of national and multinational companies visit the Institute every year for Campus recruitment. The Cell also co-ordinates the pre-placement activities of sophomore and junior students, and motivates aspiring students to pursue Higher studies with facilities for preparing competitive exams like GATE, TOEFL, GRE, CAT, GMAT etc. Further, workshops are organized to bring out hidden potentials of the students.
